FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • On the Armor X9: Swipe down once from the top of your screen, then press and hold the Wi-Fi symbol on the left side of the menu. (If the symbol is not blue, that means your Wi-Fi is turned off. Tap the symbol to turn it on.) Tap the network you would like to connect to, enter your network password (if applicable), and tap Connect. Your device should now be connected to that network. If it does not, please ensure your network password is correct and that your wireless router is turned on.

    On the Allegro 3: Swipe down twice from the top of your screen, and tap the Settings gear in the top right corner. Navigate to Wi-Fi and tape/select the network you would like to connect to. Enter your network password and tap Connect. Your device should now be connected to that network. If it does not, please ensure your network password is correct and that your wireless router is turned on.

  • Locate the Menu screen on your Brother printer. Press down using the Arrow keys to select “Network”, then press OK. Use your arrow keys to select WLAN, then Setup Wizard. Select the Network you’d like to use, press OK, and enter your network password (if applicable). Press OK. Your printer should now be connected to Wi-Fi.

  • Open your desired program (Log Scaler/Chain Tally/End Tally/Yard Tally/Mill Boss), and tap Begin. Select File Setup, then Lists. Select the list you’d like to add a new ID to. Use the on screen keyboard to enter your ID (tap enter when done) and then your description (tap enter when done). After entering your ID and Description, it is now saved to your list.

  • On the Armor X9: Swipe down once from the top of your screen, then press and hold the Bluetooth symbol in the middle of the menu. (If the symbol is not blue, that means Bluetooth is turned off. Tap the symbol to turn it on.) Press the trigger on your scanner to wake it up, making it a discoverable device. On the handheld, tap the handheld you would like to connect to, and tap Connect. Your device should now be connected to that scanner. Please ensure your scanner is fully charged before attempting to connect. If your scanner does not show up as discoverable, call Forestry Systems for direct support on calibrating your scanner.

Press the trigger on your scanner to wake it up, making it a discoverable device. On your Handheld, tap the handheld you would like to connect to, and tap Connect. Your device should now be connected to that scanner. Please ensure your scanner is fully charged before attempting to connect.   • Connecting an Armor X9 to an HP200 Printer: Swipe down twice from the top of your handheld’s screen. Tap and hold on the Wi-Fi symbol. There should be a list of available prints to connect to. Tap and hold the HP 200 Printer on this list, then tap Connect. You will be prompted to enter a password - enter “12345678”, then tap Connect. Swipe up from the bottom of your touch screen to remove the Wi-Fi menu.

    Next, you’ll need to open the program you’ll be printing information from (Mill Boss/Log Scaler/Chain Tally/End Tally/Yard Tally). Tap “Begin” to open the main menu of your program. Tap “File Setup” and then “Systems”. Tap “Next” until you have reached Page 11. Ensure the Print Method is set to “Wi-Fi” and Print Type is “Laser/Inkjet”. Tap the IP Address field and enter “192.168.223.1”.

    Tap “Save” in the bottom right hand corner. Your handheld and program are now ready to print!
